"When asked to write a testimonial for Luke, I hesitated and took some time to decide where to start.

I have known Luke for many years from when he worked for Protec in Dubai as one of the “go-to” Lighting Designers for international acts playing in the UAE but were not touring their LD. He developed his skillset with visualisation software and programming so acts could see what to expect before they arrived. The list is long and famous and set up a deep foundation and knowledge of how and when to use light appropriately to support and tell the story.

Deciding to hone his academic skills in parallel with his rocking and rolling, Luke took on and graduated as a Master of Lighting and saw his career move from the cool entertainment stages to a more technical and challenging architectural world.

We always maintained contact and when an opportunity arose for me to hire him with a job description that was always in flux, I leapt at the opportunity.

When he wasn’t surfing , Luke threw himself into many varied challenges I set and while maybe not fully understanding my direction from the outset, navigated a way to turn those problems into solutions. Some were challenging for all of our team but with encouragement to make mistakes, Luke learned and delivered above all expectations.

All teams need a “Luke” whether it is a subtle but personal private residential lighting design, a Dreamworks Theme Park through to a full stage show.

While we are located on opposite sides of the planet Luke continues to show enthusiasm at solving problems remotely when I need solutions and would warmly recommend you give him a go!"
